Great day to stop working on the projects and give ol' Marilyn a stretch of the legs.. Took a blast out to Fillmore / Santa Paula and got of the main hi way and took all the back roads thru the orchards and old farms... Man do the Orange orchards smell good !... almost forgot how much I like to ride...

'55 First year back

Well it's been about a year back on the road after about a 30 year slumber.

No major problems so far.. Hoses, replacing the generator with an alternator, overflow tank and some tuning... The old T-10 has a bad 3rd gear so I have to make the "perfect shift" to get it to stay in gear... All and all not so bad for being stored badly for sooo long...

In the process of cleaning up the back wheel radiuses, finding some early 60's bucket seats and moving the battery to the trunk... The big project will be getting the straight axle under the nose...

Flat Tracking

One of the Flat track bikes Grandpa pitted for. The Poster hung for years in GP's shop...

Sent packing

Well cleaned up the roof of the '69 Dodge Crew Cab a.. had her parked down close to the road .. before I could get a sign on her a couple asked if she was for sale? a few days later the wife bought it for her hubby for Christmas... Pretty cool in my estimation.. beats the hell out of a Tie if your a car guy... The proceeds were to be used for a '58 Devin but that didn't quite pan out....

Daniel McLoughlin Selover RIP

Lost a good friend just before Thanksgiving. Dan was working on his movie ranch and pushed himself a bit too hard.. Have to say I still really sad to lose such a interesting friend. Dan was a renaissance man... Learned bodywork in his dads shop, worked for Barris, had his own body shop, was a drummer, bought Jim Garner's race team and formed a Porsche racing body business from it, started a prop house and last he was working on a movie ranch. The longer you knew him the more interesting things you found out and I'm sure I only scratched the surface... Thought I'd post a few picture of some of the Porsches Dan designed built the body work for...

Hammer down Dan....
